I begin with prayer and a mental calming exercise. I then use a pendulum to determine when I am 'tuned in' to the client's energy. Once that is set, I choose the right crystal to represent each chakra, and I place them on special colored cushions that are laid out in a line the size of a person. I place my hand over each stone one at a time and pray for them to be of use to the recipient.

I use the pendulum to check the state of each chakra- underactive, overactive, balanced, or blocked. I apply small quartz points to bring extra energy to or away from the chakras most urgently in need of balancing.

Next I use two large crystal points to clear, balance, and charge each chakra, which takes around 30 minutes. I have a number of points and carefully choose which ones seem right. I then use the pendulum and check the state of the chakras again.

Finally, I use a selenite piece to remove any remaining negative energy, and a grounding stone to 'anchor' the healing into the recipient.

As a Christian, I feel comfortable working with the pendulum to measure energy, as similar uses of the pendulum to discover information have been approved of by many priests and even a Catholic Pope.
